1850-1 Wortley Circus Company

'. . . . and the dead had to be taken in a large circus van belonging to the Wortley Circus Company.'

This was written in the 1890s about the cholera epidemic in Jamaica in the early 1850s. The reference was to events in Spanish Town, but if the circus company was there it had almost certainly played in Kingston also. So far nothing at all has come to light about this circus.
